Two new purpose-built homes, designed with adaptability, accessibility, and sustainability at their core — delivering a Lifemark 5-star standard and a safer, more supportive living environment for Hawksbury residents.
Hierarchy Group, in collaboration with Inovo, were engaged by Hawksbury Property Trust to explore opportunities for new construction that would better support the evolving needs of their residents.
The project involved replacing an existing bungalow with two purpose-built homes — a deliberate shift toward creating living environments that prioritise comfort, security, and long-term support.
Across the two year process, multiple design options were explored, reviewed, and refined in collaboration with the client, builder and wider consultant team. Our design philosophy was centred on adaptability and accessibility, ensuring the homes meet current needs while also allowing for future changes.
Sustainability was a key consideration, including the integration of solar panels to reduce environmental impact and provide cost-efficient energy solutions. Every detail was informed by universal design principles, contributing to a Lifemark 5-star rating. Features such as level entry access, wider hallways, slip resistant flooring and carefully selected door hardware ensure safe and easy movement throughout the home for those using mobility aids.
The final result is a pair of homes that stand as a testament to thoughtful design and collaboration. These homes will not only serve the residents but also enhance their living experience, contributing to a sense of belonging and well being.
