A 29-room boutique hotel inspired by London’s Claridge’s, blending restored heritage features with contemporary luxury to create a refined social hub for Cambridge.
Hospitality
Hierarchy Group were engaged to lead the interior design for the restoration of the former 1866 beaux-arts Masonic hotel in Cambridge, now unveiled as The Clements Hotel.
The 29 room boutique property blends heritage with contemporary comfort, inspired by London’s prestigious Claridge’s. The design approach preserved and celebrated original architectural features—stained-glass windows, a sweeping staircase, high ceilings, red brick walls, and parquet flooring—while introducing refined modern touches.
Guest rooms and suites offer approachable luxury, featuring velvet seating, porcelain-tiled bathrooms, and thoughtfully integrated modern amenities.
Communal spaces include the Gallery Restaurant, Clements Café & Wine Bar, and a speakeasy-inspired underground cocktail bar. Flexible event areas—boardrooms and an events lawn—cater to weddings, corporate gatherings, and social occasions.
Our philosophy was simple: restore historic elegance while introducing contemporary luxury. The result is a property that honours its heritage while creating a vibrant social hub for Cambridge.
